A Roman company with a quiet fleet
Xploring Rome is a small tour operator based in Testaccio. We take you through the historic center in vehicles that can go where coaches can't: silent electric golf carts and electric replicas of the 1920s Ford Model T.
Our golf cart and Model T tours are private: only your group on board, a Roman driver at the wheel, pick-up and drop-off at your hotel. Since 2022 we have taken more than a thousand guests around the Colosseum, Trevi, the Pantheon and the Vatican, and most of them wrote to say thank you.
The fleet
Six Model Ts, built to look like 1926 and drive like today.
Each one is an electric replica: the open body, the brass radiator with our name in gold script, the white-wall tyres and the cognac leather benches are from the twenties; the motor, the LED headlamps and the small screen on the dashboard are not. They are quiet enough to hear your driver, and allowed on streets where cars are not.

The golf carts
Five carts, two to seven seats
For families and small groups: open sides, a roof for the sun, rain covers for the rare wet day. The driver picks the cart that fits your group, and the price per person stays the same.

Romans who know which bar has the best coffee
Our drivers are locals. They know when the Trevi crowd thins out, which side street is quietest at ten in the morning and where to stop for a proper espresso. They drive, they tell the stories, and they take the photo for you.
